Prima Menü - Our Cardboard Packaging as a Sales CriterionPrima Menü - Our Cardboard Packaging as a Sales Criterion

Packaging sustainability is an important issue with customers.
According to a current GFK study, packaging sustainability is one of the deciding key factors for approx. 2/3 of the customers.
According to that study the slogan is: the greener the better.
Ever since the foundation of our company we at Prima Menü have been packaging our products in sustainable carton trays. To make more of less, viz. minimizing instead of disposing of packaging waste, is our ultimate objective.

Taking into account that our trays consist of more than 90% renewable resources, their total capacity in relation to packaging expenses is not only extremely cost effective but also helps reduce the overall environmental impact compared to other types of packaging.
This is also being emphasised by the diagram illustrated on the right in the study published by cardboard manufacturer Stora Enso:
This study was intended to examine different disposable packagings – CPET, cardboard and aluminium – for their CO2 balance.
The result is clear cut: carton packagings tend to have a CO2 balance which is up to 49% lower compared to plastics and aluminium and can therefore be considered the most environmentally friendly type of packaging.
Our carton packagings are designed to not only preserve the environment but also to offer our customers, besides the diversity and the authentic flavour of our recipes, an additional deciding key factor.
